GRUPOETRA was formed in 1979 as a large-scale service company, out of the union of companies from all over Spain committed to the installation and maintenance of traffic and public lighting Systems, with a view to developing technology specific to the Sector.

From that moment, a regular investment plan was put in place that translated into constant growth on a geographical and a technological level along with expansion in the Transport, Car park and Access, and Energy Management sectors.

In 1992 there was a change of ownership, following a take over by Gines Navarro, S.A., the construction company, which in 1997 merged with OCP (also a construction corporation), creating one of the most important business groups on the world market ACS, Actividades de Construcción y Servicios, S.A. GRUPOETRA is an integral part of their Industrial Services wing.

Now, GRUPOETRA is the national industry leader and a worldwide technological reference, with more than 1,500 professionals.
